    ]]>     http://www.fbchughson.org/2012/01/22/40-days-is-coming/feed/ 2     Operation Christmas Child, a Year-Round Experience http://www.fbchughson.org/2012/01/13/occ/ http://www.fbchughson.org/2012/01/13/occ/#comments Fri, 13 Jan 2012 19:55:42 +0000 Webmaster http://www.fbchughson.org/?p=173 Instead of waiting until November for our annual Operation Christmas Child activity, which is sponsored by the Samaritan’s Purse Organization, we are starting early.   Each month we will be collecting different items that will be packed into shoeboxes next November to be distributed to underprivileged children around the world.  Items such toiletries, small toys, gloves, scarves, coloring books, and many other things are needed to make this project successful.  Donations of money are also needed to pay the $7 postage required for each shoebox.  We are collecting recyclables to help pay for this and those may be brought to the church.
