What to Expect

 

Our Worship Service

We want you to feel welcome from the moment you arrive at Hughson First Baptist Church. Whether you've attended church your entire life or this is your very first visit, we hope you'll find a warm church family eager to meet you.

 

As you enter, you'll be greeted with a smile and receive a bulletin with information about the service. Feel free to sit wherever you'd like. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments are available in the back of the sanctuary before the service.

 

Our worship is centered on Christ and grounded in Scripture. Each service includes prayer, congregational singing, and the faithful preaching of God's Word. Our desire is that everything we do points people to Jesus Christ and encourages believers to grow in His grace.

Location & Service Times

Hughson First Baptist Church has faithfully served the Hughson community for more than one hundred years and is located at the corner of 6th Street and Pine Avenue in Hughson, California.

 

Sunday School: 9:30 AM

Morning Worship: 10:45 AM

 

We especially encourage you to join us for Sunday School. These smaller classes provide an opportunity to study God's Word together, ask questions, and build meaningful relationships with others.

What Should I Wear?

You'll find everything from jeans to suits on a Sunday morning. We care far more about meeting you than what you're wearing, so please come dressed in whatever makes you feel comfortable.

During the Service

Our pastor preaches verse by verse through God's Word, seeking to faithfully explain and apply the Scriptures through expository preaching. We believe God uses His Word to strengthen believers, call sinners to repentance, and transform lives through the work of the Holy Spirit.

As part of our worship, offering plates are available at the front of the sanctuary, but there is no formal offering during the service. If you are visiting with us, please don't feel any obligation to give. Your presence is a blessing, and we are simply grateful you've chosen to worship with us.

Children & Families

Families are an important part of our church, and children are always welcome in our worship services.

 

Following the music portion of the service, if Children's Church is available, children K-6th grades may leave service for these age appropriate biblical teaching and activities. Parents are also welcome to keep their children with them throughout the entire service if they prefer.
